Fremont Aktion Club Officially Organizes -  8/4/2010
Our Fremont Aktion Club held it's official organizational meeting with over 70 attending.  President Jim Holtam of the Fremont Kiwanis club inducted these new officers and they signed their Charter Application on Wednesday, August 4th.  Meetings will be held every two weeks at St Timothy Lutheran Church, 16th and Nye Ave at 6:30 pm on Wednesday evenings.

Spoudazo Partners with Kids Against Hunger -  7/7/2010
SPOUDAZO is a group of teens who are excited about sharing their faith with you through a meaningful music and drama ministry.  First Lutheran in Fremont sponsors this ministry; however, it is ecumenical in nature as it draws young people from 16 churches in the Fremont area.  This is SPOUDAZO's eighteenth year of music and drama ministry.  The 2010 production of "Inside Out" was compiled by Kevin Wagner and Tim Howard.  We are focused on our belief that God changes us

Kiwanis announces world-wide service project. -  6/24/2010

Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to save the lives of babies and their mothers by eliminating maternal/neonatal tetanus (MNT), a disease that kills an estimated 60,000 newborns and 30,000 mothers each year. UNICEF Ambassador and actor Tea Leoni delivered the announcement at the 95th Annual Kiwanis International Convention.

“Kiwanis believes that no baby or mother should have to suffer the devastating effects of MNT,” said Kiwanis International President Paul Palazzolo.

Kiwanis supports Kids Against Hunger -  12/28/2009
Through the help of 120 hands and hundreds of generous hearts, 19,872 Kids Against Hunger meals were packaged for shipment to starving children.  Fremont youth who attended the Spoudazo Reunion and members of the Fremont Kiwanis Club, spent a cold December evening working their way through four 1,000 pound pallets of rice and soy.  They combined those ingredients with dehydrated vegetables, flavoring and essential vitamins and minerals to fill 3,312 packages which were
